Thank you for all your comments about the blog makeover, I’m glad you like it :-)
I haven’t figured out how to make the previews larger when they are clicked on. If you know how to do this please leave me a comment.
A couple of you asked how to get the header to spread across the page. Well I created it 1200px wide and 331px height with 100px resolution. I use one of the standard blogger templates: Minima Lefty Stretch (I don’t know if that has anything to do with it). When uploading it via blogger you have to remove the check in the shrink to fit box under placement.
As for the labels on the left, I just added them as pictures. That may not be the elegant way to do things, but I don’t know a different way. I actually figured most of these things out via trial and error.
