Every artist in this world has to find somewhere and somehow his inspiration, whether one’s a painter or a fashion designer. In our case, the reputed fashion brand Versace found its inspiration in the cinematographic industry. To be more precise, for the spring-summer 2010 collection, Donatella Versace claims inspiration from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”. And the truth is that this is a truly dreamy collection of shoes anyone can love and fall in love!
Everyone who participated during Milan Fashion Week at Versace’s spring-summer 2010 collection must have felt as same as crazy as us seeing those unbelievable shoe designs! Versace turned the runway into a fantasy land where shoes were great, clothing exquisite and the atmosphere more than exclusivist. From floating or futuristic soles to incredibly beautiful colors, everything regarding Versace’s shoes for the spring 2010 collection screamed “exciting”! So, the collection blended some unusual elements, but the effect was amazing. Soft and delicate colors, mostly pastels, mixed with geometric patterns, platforms and high heels, with a very interesting profile, as there’s a certain space between the bottom of the shoe and the sole – that’s how Versace imagined the shoe collection for spring 2010.
The shoes were colorful, interesting, with an architectural design and perspective, funny yet highly fashionable, as they were accessorized with buckles, or studs and cut-outs.
